I’m a 5’1”, 60-year-old woman and I’m fluffy+. 😄 This 10-lb weighted vest fits me perfectly, and I absolutely love it.

I forget I have it on …..

I noticed another female reviewer mentioned that the fit is difficult if you have breasts. I no longer have breasts, so the vest works great for me. However, I can definitely see how the upper closure could be a problem with a larger chest or breast implants the top tier portion will not close.

The good news is that you really don’t need the top closure fastened. You can simply leave it open and use the bottom closure, which holds the vest securely for me. If you are a runner with breast implants this is not for you. Walking 100% works perfect.

And I’m very happy I chose the 10-lb version. I’m 60, out of shape, and rebuilding my strength, and 10 pounds feels just right. Any lighter would have felt almost pointless for what I wanted it for…. Walking around house, running errands etc.

Comfortable, secure, and exactly the amount of weight I wanted. A+ purchase.

I’ve been using the Renoj 6 lb weighted vest as an over 50 female around 130 lbs. I can confidently say this is one of the best fitness gear additions to take my rigorous walks and workouts up a few notches. It’s the perfect way to turn everyday walks and workouts into strength-building sessions. I have tried a heavier vest and one that goes over the head and feel this lighter weight and fit is better suited for my personal situation. The vest does come in a variety of weights too.
In regard to fit and comfort, the vest hugs my torso nicely without shifting or sliding around. The adjustable straps allow me to adjust the fit so it’s snug, but not restrictive. The padding is minimal but effective. The reflective stripes are a nice safety addition when wearing outdoors.
Adding just 6 lbs makes a noticeable difference with performance boost outside of walking too. Lunges and core workouts suddenly feel more challenging in an effective way. The vest is subtle enough to be wearable for longer sessions, yet enough to ramp up intensity when needed. You can take it on and off easily and as needed during your workouts. I appreciate that it helps me get more out of bodyweight exercises in a different way and in addition to using hand weights or other equipment.
The material breathes surprisingly well even during longer workouts; the vest stays surprisingly cool. Even during sweaty circuits, the vest didn’t feel like it heated up. It seems to be well-constructed with reinforced stitching and solid seams. In addition to walks, I’ve also worn the vest for strength circuits, and walking at fast paced intervals. It’s light enough that I don’t dread wearing it, but effective enough that I can feel the impact of the extra load. The 6 lb version is especially great for layering in gradual progress.
For the price, you really get a lot with solid construction, easy adjustability, and a product that delivers real results. It’s great gift for anyone who loves fitness or just wants to level up their daily routine!

Pros: This vest is super soft and comfortable. It’s great at adding intensity to your current workout. The weight is accurate. It is not too long and sits about the middle of your back. The added mesh pocket and optional phone case make it efficient. It looks exactly like it’s supposed to: black and minimal. No smell noted.

Cons: as other reviewers have noted, if your are a woman with larger than average chest measurements, this is at best, very unflattering. It squishes the ladies all around. I have DD cups and if I were any larger, I don’t know how comfortable it would be. And, as I knew it would be when I bought it, 12 pounds is all you are going to get so you can’t increase your weight unless you buy a new or different vest.

I have not noticed any sand leaking from the vest but will update if that changes.
